Calling all musicians, activists, graphic designers, painters, photographers and film-makers: listen up! Paris is dead. New York is dead. Most of Europe is dead, but Berlin is very much alive!
Berlin has become a cutting edge haven for emerging artists. It is a dynamic, progressive city that embraces the new while respecting its past. Berlin is home to the most innovative art on the international stage today and you will find gallery and performance spaces in the most unexpected places, with multiple art openings, pop-up galleries and musical performances nearly every night. With new energy based in grit, restlessness and experimental spirit this raw city has earned its title and its street credibility.
Traveling with Dana Heffern, you will be given the rare opportunity to go behind the scenes for a gallery opening. Explore something new in Berlin everyday: from touring street art, to visiting contemporary art museums, or jumping into a spontaneous art-making process. It will be a 24/7 experience! We hope to see you there.
Earn 3 Interdisciplinary (undergraduate) credits in Fall 2014.
