Advanced Fine Furniture-Making

The College also offers an Advanced Certificate in Fine Furniture-Making for those interested in taking their sills to the next level.

Burlington College students in the Certificate in Advanced Fine Furniture-Making study in residence at the Vermont Woodworking School, a modern facility in a large, historic barn in Fairfax, Vermont. Students learn the fundamentals of woodworking and fine tune their skills by participating in skills-based classes and workshops offered by members of the Guild of Vermont Furniture-makers.

This 24-credit certificate is designed for those students who want to continue their learning beyond the 30-credit Certificate or the Associate of Arts Degree in Woodworking and Fine Furniture-Making. Completion of either the Certificate or the A.A. degree is required as a prerequisite.
